Talon is a renowned professional artist with over 20 years of painting, drawing, writing and crafting, especially concentrating within the Wiccan / Pagan mythology and philosophy.Aside from being known, nationally and internationally, for her famed greeting cards, she currently has a line of t-shirts and does commissioned work as well. We had the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with her which you can read below.

You’re a very well known artist, your art is somewhat controversial, unique and definitely ‘occult’ if I may say so, from where do you take your inspiration?

It’s very influenced by my long-time interests in ancient mythology, especially Egyptian, Greco/Roman and Celtic.  I’ve been a practicing Wiccan (Nature-based spiritual path) for many years, so this has a great impact on my personal creativity.

We know you are a painter, what other sort of art are you practicing?

I’ve been doing a lot of photography over the last few years, both 35mm film and digital.  I love to travel and shoot images of different locals, especially old architecture, sculpure and the environment.  I also do a lot of pen & ink and watercolor illustrations for magazines and crafter companies.

What motivates someone to grow such long nails?

HHHHMMM, I don’t know! LOL  I never planned on growing them…I just started to when I was about 15 and never stopped…I just like the way they look.

Do you think long nails are more fashionable or functional?

LOL.  Definitely not more functional, although I don’t really have any problems doing the things I need and want to do…for me they’ve become kind of my calling card, especially in the art, Wiccan and Goth scenes.

Do they hinder you from doing basic tasks?

Nope, not really…I just have gotten used to doing things certain ways over the years.

How long have you been growing to this length?

It’s been over 20 years since I started and they’ve been at about 14 inches for the last few years.

Are you planning to grow them longer?

If they want to grow, I’ll let them!  I’ve only trimmed them a small amount 2x’s when they started to curl too much.

What’s people’s reaction when they notice your long nails? I’ve gotten just about every reaction from repulsion to people thinking they’re the coolest things they’ve ever seen, but I’m growing them because I like them and not for anyone else…although I do greatly appreciate when people ‘get it’!  I’ve met a lot of great people because of my nails!  And gotten art sales, too! 

Have you ever had a nail break? If yes how did you repair it? Oh yes!  I should be the Crazy Glue spokes-model! Crazy Glue…if you’re reading this, contact me!

Can you give us a few tips for healthy long nails?

I really don’t do anything special..I HATE milk and I don’t believe any of that nail strengthening stuff works, but hey, give it a shot, ya never know!  The main thing is patience!

Do you think long nails are back in fashion?

I don’t think they ever really went out, but my nails are an extreme…I don’t think growing them to this length could ever be a trend since it’s not something many people could do…or would want to!

What kind of “fan” input have you received about your long nails?

I better be careful here, LOL.  Most of the people that have contacted me have been great but there’ve been some creepy folks as well….I realize it’s a fetish for many people but that’s not why I’m growing them….to me they’re my living sculptures.  As I said though, I have met a lot of cool people because of the nails.

How do other women react in the sign of your nails?

Same as guys…from repulsed to amazed…just depends on the person themselves and they’re tastes…many ‘alternative’ people really like them, and that’s basically my ’scene’ so compliments from other creative people mean a lot to me!

Still remember the first time I saw Mistress Persephone few years back. When I saw one of her pictures online I was stunned.Without knowing her name took me a while to find her name with altavista.com and yahoo.com (pre-google era). I still remember the website. Probably the first media enabled website. Music, video on the first page, black background and black and white pictures. It was beautiful, of course it was her making it look like that. Ann had a chat with Mistress Persephone which you can read below.

You been in the Entertainment Fetish industry for more than 10 years now, you were also one of the very first Dominatrix to have a dedicated website with her own material, what have change in the industry since then?

So many things have changed since I started first modelling in 1992, and then became a pro Domme in 1994. Back then magazines were how one was mostly seen whereas now it is the internet that spreads one across to so many more viewers. Also, back then it was highly unusual for a woman with tattoos, long nails and a femme fatale aesthetic to get published which was one of the reason I decided to do things my own way and cultivated a presence on the web to attract those who could appreciate a woman like me. Not it seems that many have tried to emulate my various looks through the years, but that is to be expected.

Are you planning on releasing any nail-centric material in the future without the heavy BDSM? I’m sure you are aware there is a massive community from men and women out there.

I have been doing photos sets and video clips for my website like that for years so if anyone is not a member, they are missing out on my material. I eventually will do DVDs and clips4sale along those lines as well but for now, my website is the place to worship my talons.

What is your take on nailfetish, and nail-admirers?

I don’t really understand the question. I wear my nails long because it is what I find sexy and alluring, not because it is something I do solely for my fans. I don’t have a take, it is just part of who I am.

When did you first start growing your nails?

I first started wearing my nails long in 1994, but had cut them short for small spurts here and there, though I always felt naked without them and it rarely lasted longer than a month or so before I was back in the salon.

What motivated you?

I have very small hands and tiny fingers. I thought that long nails would suit me, and also..they help me type faster because I can reach the keys easier. LOL.

Were there particular women (movie actresses, maybe) that had long nails that you admired?

I remember in the 1980’s I had a record by Ministry called ‘With Sympathy’ and it featured a woman’s hand with long black nails reaching for some red roses against a backdrop of black marble. The image was so striking I knew I had to have long claws one day.

In her role as a professional Domme, did you had people attracted to you by your nails?

I do many, many, sessions with long nail fetishists who are attracted to my claws. I offer everything from sensual teasing and tickling with them to more extreme pinching and torture. Tell us more about your website, how often do you update it, what material should a viewer expect to find?

My website is not solely based on BDSM, but also features glamour and even erotic horror. It is enormous with over 25,000 images of me and several hundred video clips, 98% of me feature my long nails. I update it 1-2 times per month with material only available to my members. Anyone who claims to be a fan of my work needs to be a member since it is a massive archive of all of my years of hard work. I also have booking information and my travel calendar and journal available in the free area for those who wish to serve me in person.

why you are one of the last long nailed Domme’s standing, after all of these years?

I wasn’t aware that I was? I’m just myself, and stay true to my own interests. People choose to follow me because pf my integrity and the quality of my work, and also because I am real. Anyone can hire a model and have her nails done for the day to shoot photos of her for their site but I live this way. I understand the fetish because I share it.

We have an exclusive interview this month from the well known Spantaneeus Xtasty, some of you have seen the dozen of her pictures floating around the web,some others might have seen one-or more- of her movies. When I was about to contact her, just by the name I knew she has this “something” factor. Friends call her Span and she’s “Spantaneeus” indeed. A very bright personality who not only knows where she is, but she also knows where she’s heading, and she a star aiming…where else…for the stars!

First of all I want to thank you for being here with us, it?s really an honour and pleasure to have an exclusive interview form the woman who many claim changed the history of the adult entertainment with her unique work, amazing appearance and professionalism.

For those that are unfamiliar with how you got started in adult industry, fill us in on how you got started?

I became a Famous Pornstar by a friend of mine I use to have my own Rock Band I was a drummer but people always wanted me to be up front on the microphone,during vocals and alot of people always would say,that I would be the perfect Pornstar because I would be always sexual through my songs,so one of my friends submitted a photo of me to one of the biggest Adult Film Companies in Hollywood,CA

What was your first job ever?

My very first job was working with kids in summer camps and yes i was a girl scout,and my 2nd job I was a certified EPA employee,shutting down job construction sites in the Asbestos Field,and then into the Entertainment Industry by having my own Rock Band.

Why do you think you have become so popular? Is it your, versatile appearance and the many different sorts of movies (types) you have worked in?

I think I became so popular because I always try to do what people would like to see but still its what I like and who I am as a person,from Movies to Music.

Among the adult industry you are also a rapper, where can we hear your music and most importantly where can we buy your album?

Yes I will be very busy starting the early part of 2009,on Feb.5,2009 its my Birthday,and I will be in Tampa,Florida for my Birthday Party and then after that I start my Promo Tour,doing magazine interviews,and radio interviews about my Music,and my Xrated Film Company.

As for your long nails, I?m sure you are aware you have a massive fan list. In the end of the day either one is into theatre entertainment or adult entertainment, it?s still entertainment. What message would you send to them?

I love my Fans! and I would say to anyone in the Entertainment Industry to always be true to yourself and what you do as an Entertainer,never mislead your Fans.

How long have you been growing your nails long? We?ve seen you with very long nails in the past; I believe you keep them a bit shorter this period?

I’ve been having my nails long for over 14 years. Yes I have them just a bit short,not too much of a difference from before.

What is the feedback you receive from people, men and women?

Everyone stares,then some people ask for autographys or take a picture with me,or I have people following me sometimes,but everyone is always asking me questions about my nails and then my chest,that’s a whole story in itself,lol.

How often do you make a video?

Now I own my own Xrated Company called, “Xtastynails Entertainment” so you will not see me in front of the camera as much. My first movie Release will be Jan. 2009 or before.I have done 352 movies and won awards for my achievements in the Adult Industry.All my movies have sold over 20 million copies,since I have been doing movies.

We had an exclusive interview with The Dutchess, she was more than kind to create a video for us with mode details and some great shots!

So Dutchess, you’re a rock singer, now are you making a turn to the filming or will you still continue the singing career?

I’m actually using the filming for my music career. I am not an actress at all.

Tell me more about your rock career, when did you start signing?

I have been singing since the age of two. My biological dad used to work late, so when he came home he’d wake me up to sing into the old reel-to-reel. And it’s been a habit every since.

What made you get involved with filming?

I got into filming because I have run into alot of people in the music industry that did not know the business side and we’d end up helping them out. So I decided that filming myself and my daughters in this unique process would help people learn how to do this business on their own and keep their creativity.

Any tips of what we should expect to see?

What you can expect to see is my daughters trying their best to manage their mom, us utilizing all that we have at our disposal ( ie..knowledge of the business ) or zany and outrageous tactics to promote me as an artist and the label. Hopefully people learn while we put the cd together and also get to know me and the makings of my family.

Most people claim that rock music is dominated by men, how far would you agree on this one?

No I do not agree. I just think that they give women to many different titles to take away from what we contribute. They will call it pop when it’s not hardcore rock.

Now a question I’m sure you heard millions of times before, what made you grow your nails that long?

I was so into my music that I had no time to go to my nail tech on a regular basis and when I did go I could not come to terms with her cutting them. I had gotten used to them. They are like a body part. I can’t do much without them.

How many years have you been growing your nails?

In august it will be 18 years that I have grown them.

As far as I’m aware you must be between the top 5 women with the longest fingernails in the world. Do you plan to keep on growing them?

I will grow them until they hinder me from doing what I need to do.

I’m dying to ask, what’s the reactions of people when they first see your nails?

Almost everyone loves them and thinks they are cool and unique. From old to young they all take pictures.

Do you have positive feedback?

As far as feedback it is mostly great except some people think that I get taken care of. Which is extremely far from the truth. I clean, cook, and drive. Their are no maids here. I won’t even get into the bathroom question but I’ll just say this, women with long nails tend to keep their nails very clean because they don’t really use their nails in everyday activities as people do who have shorter fingernails. We do things in a different way.

Where do you see Dutchess after 5 years from now?

In five years I still see myself trying to show the world that difference is what makes the machine called life work.

Should we expect to meet you again in the LNG Nails?

Yes. I hope LNG is still interested in The Dutchess and my growth nailwise and otherwise. So yes you’ll see me again.

First time I heard about kinkynails was a year or so when I’ve found the link in a very popular forum. I though it would be a hand modelling site and anxiously typed the link on my browser to port myself in and see what wasall about and why this thread about kinkynails already had 17 replies. So there I was, the page looked fab, fast loading with a good looking, very sweet model in the front page with insanely long nails. What made me quite an impression it wasn’t the length but the look in her eyes. She was wearing them very comfortably as if every woman should wear such long nails (and I’m not saying that she shouldn’t!).

The model in the picture was Sam, the actual owner of kinkynails and Nails4males and on top of that the person behind the idea. I’m always intrigued form people who try something different, something innovative and out of the box. One of these persons is Sam, a starter, daring innovative woman that brought something different in the Nail industry and most importantly it’s for males and females. Now that’s a recipe that can’t go wrong! Moving forward Ann made an exclusive article with Sam with some behind the scenes news and news of what’s coming next from Sam. So stay tuned readers, this is definitely going to be a sequel!

What are some of the challenges you faced in the beginning of Nails4males.co.uk?

The most difficult challenge was getting the nails made in the first place. It took at least 6 months to source and make the tooling. Because the nails are so long and thin, it was a huge job to find someone that could (or was prepared) do it! Also, as everyone has different sized nails, I had trouble judging sizes before designing and sending the nails. I used to send out a sizing guide with every enquiry but I realise now that it works a lot better if I just have a rough width measurement in mm, or send a mix of small, medium, large or extra large nails.

Are any differences between the products of Nails4males.co.uk and Kinkynails.co.uk?

No, not at all. They are all the same nails, manufactured in the UK from quality ABS plastic.They are made in a 10cm length and can be cut or blended, depending on what length you want.

You are probably the first company that started manufacturing extremely long nails for our male fans as well, was that big demand?

Yes, there was big demand and as far as I’m aware, nails4males was, and still is the only company that make nails as wide, and as long in one piece. Some people like to buy matching finger and toenails. My widest nail is 2cm across, so suitable for both. The most popular length is 10cm.

I believe the longest nails you have in your store are 500mm, half a meter nails!!! Can the glue support this length?

Surprisingly, yes! Although if your hands are very cold, the glue takes longer to set. I was on TV last year wearing 50cm nails. I didn’t have one breakage! I make nails up to 1 metre long, but I don’t advertise these at the moment as are very expensive. 10, 1 metre nails would consist of 100 x 10cm tips all carefully blended and painted. When they are that long, they look quite circular.

Explosives are materials considered to be chemicals or not. They produce an expansion along with the production of heat that guides to an action. When I received Ann’s e-mails this morning the military training about the above kicked in and this was my first though when I saw Yayaa’s interview. Moving forward, the most fun part of being an editor-in-chief is when I pick the pictures for every article, however in this specific case it was quite difficult to pick the normal 10 to 15 pictures I do on every update. Yayaa’s work was simply amazing. Starting from her appearance, besides the fact she’s a very naturally pretty woman and has amazing Tattoos, what really impressed me.. was that in every shooting she’s changing her facial expressions dramatically. Her portfolio was massive, the galleries full of hundreds of pictures. I did manage eventually to come to a decent number of photos, which you will see below along with Ann’s interview.

First of all, while browsing myspace, I believe I only saw a fraction of your pictures when I’ve send you the e-mail and I was already impressed with what I saw. When the Editor-in-chief looked at all of your work, he came back to me, amazed with your appearance the tattoos and of course the cool “duck nails”.

Thanks so much. I’ve worked really hard on my modelling lately, and I really appreciate your comment. The nails are called “the dip” around here. There is only a small area that I have seen them done right and my nail tech rocks. She is Dianne at Vihn’s in Port Arthur, TX.

So really, how many tattoos do you have? Do they all mean something to you or it was a design preference?

I have well over 50 hours worth of work on me. When you begin getting more coverage you have to look at the amount of tattoo work you have in hours because some of my tattoos started as something small, and I added on to them. Each and every tattoo means something to me. They all represent people, events, or places in my life. I have been tattooed by many different artists. Design preference is absolutely part of it. I went in to have one tattooed and told my artist the idea and he said, “It shouldn’t go there if you want it to flow with your body”, and then he told me where it would work best. I trust every artist that I work with, because once I give them my idea for the tattoo and the reason behind it, I let them just kinda…go with it. If you let an artist use their creativity then you will end up with a much better piece of art than if you go in and put restrictions on them. For example, I went into Mike Parsons and said, “I want a phoenix which represents rebirth and rising anew from the ashes (which is what I was having to do at that time) and I want it in the fire colors.” Then I let him just have at my hip and ended up with a fantastic piece of art that I could not have imagined with the symbolism that I wanted in the tattoo.

Are you pierced as well?

Yes I am. Of course I have my ears pierced like 4 or 5 times. I have a navel ring, a nostril ring, and a tongue ring. I would love to have a couple more piercings, but the ones I want I could not wear during my job. Honestly, I probably could wear them and show my tattoos and such at school, but because I teach such young, influential children I choose to take my visible piercings out during the day and cover my tattoos. If my kids (students) want to have tattoos and piercings when they are older then they should make that own personal decision as an adult. I don’t want them to think, “Oh, I want a tattoo or get my nose pierced because Coach Jones has one.” I want them to make up their own minds for their own reasons.

So you are a model, wife, health teacher, coach, and singer; if you were to put the list in order, what would it be first? And where do you find the time anyway? Lol

Order…Wife (because God tells us to take care of our families first), health teacher, coach, model, singer…that’s the order I would put it in. Health Teacher and Coach really work together. I get to teach things that everyone needs to know in both the health classroom and during any sport!! Finding the time is sometimes difficult and often I find myself putting me absolutely last. When I start doing that, I have to regroup. I start my day off by working out in the gym for a couple hours and hope that energy takes me through the rest of the day. I’ve been known to forget to take my “teacher/coach” hat on when I get home from school or practice and my husband has to remind me to just chill out and enjoy being together. I honestly feel like Coach Jones all the time…except when I am modelling…my little escape!! I have such a passion for teaching and for my kids (students) that I often forget that I am not just a teacher all the time!!

I really like the fact you keep your nails square and pretty wide too. I would say that I noticed a sort of opposite curve, personally I have hard time keeping them square as they stuck on my clothes, do you get that too?

Everyone is always asking me how I keep them like this. It is actually an opposite curve! They don’t get stuck on anything, and I even coach Volleyball and lift weights with them. Matter of fact, when my nails aren’t done I can’t even type!!!

Ever had them done longer than what we see, or do you have any plans having them longer?

I have had them much longer. I had them really wrong when I ran track in college. I kept them long until I was running 200s one day at practice. I finished up the last 200 of the day and leaned over to try and catch my breath and my right thumb nail slipped off my thigh and it took off the entire nail..nail bed and all. I realized I had to shorten them. I keep them longer during the summer because I am not coaching volleyball or track, but I am still working out and have to be able to grip the bar at the gym…LOL!

You have quite an impressive portfolio have you been published?

Yes, mostly in tattoo publications and many internet publications as well. In print though: Tattoo Magazine, Skin & Ink, Pain Magazine, Savage Magazine, Art Intensity Network, local things, and look out for the new Inked Angels Magazine coming up…you are sure to see me!!!

I saw you’re selling posters with your pictures; care to give us a few more details?

My posters are 11 x 17 glossy high quality photo-paper posters. These are really high quality posters that I was even surprised at how cool they were. I have available 3 different posters. What would you advice a girl doing her first modelling steps?

You have to work. Don’t sit back and hope something happens…get out and make it happen. Get with some local photographers willing to shoot TFP or TFCD and get your portfolio built. Look through magazines and images on the internet and practice the poses and facial expressions in the mirror. It may sound silly, but you have to practice just like with anything else.
